In recent years, with the development of industry, the amount of wastewater has been increased. In order to avoid industrial wastewater polluting the environment, the industrial wastewater should be effectively treated.

 

1. Principles to be followed in industrial wastewater treatment

 

1.1 Classification and Pertinence

 

Before wastewater treatment, the wastewater should be classified. Corresponding treatment methods should be adopted for different wastewater, so as to ensure that the harmful, toxic pollutants in different wastewater can be degraded and decomposed.

 

1.2 Separation

 

In the process of wastewater treatment, the harmful substances and beneficial substances should be separated, so as to effectively reduce the content of pollutants in the wastewater, and recycle the beneficial substances.

 

2. Industrial wastewater treatment process

 

2.1 Precipitation treatment

 

The chemicals that can react with the components in the wastewater will be put into the wastewater. After full reaction, various of pollutants in the wastewater will settle to the bottom and be sent for further treatment. After precipitation, the content of harmful pollutants in the wastewater will be significantly reduced.

 

2.2 Air stripping method

 

At present, air stripping method has been widely used in industrial treatment plants. It is a common wastewater treatment method. In practical application, by using air stripping method, the sulfides and heavy metal substances in wastewater can be rapidly separated. The air will be blown into the wastewater by the air pump, then the air and various substances in the wastewater will be in equilibrium, so the sulfides and heavy metal substances will be separated. This method is very simple and the investment is relatively small.

 

2.3 Electrochemical oxidation treatment

 

In practical application, there are a lot of toxic and harmful substances in the wastewater, mainly including propylene glycol elements and heavy metal substances. According to the types of harmful substances, organic solvents will be put into the wastewater to dissolve them. In addition, electric oxidants can be added to oxidize toxic substances in the wastewater and balance the acid and alkali substances in the wastewater. At the same time, electrochemical oxidation substances can be added to decompose, degrade and precipitate the harmful substances.

 

3. Conclusion

 

Above all, the treatment effect and efficiency of industrial wastewater depend on the treatment process. Therefore, the wastewater treatment plants should be in accordance with the standardized industrial wastewater treatment process flow, and use corresponding wastewater treatment methods for different industrial wastewater, so as to effectively treat the wastewater and ensure that the treated wastewater can meet emission standard.
